How we rate
What the score means
Every product on Sweet Kitsune carries a rating between 6.0 and 9.5, to one decimal place. This number is an editorial opinion we form from product data, manufacturer specifications and published user feedback, not a grade from our own lab test. We do not systematically buy every product ourselves and we do not claim a fixed number of test days.
What goes into the rating
We look at five areas that affect the score differently depending on the product type:
- Material: which material is used and how it is meant to feel and behave according to the manufacturer
- Construction: internal structure, skeleton, opening shape or mechanical functions, where documented
- Care: how demanding cleaning and storage turn out to be
- Value for money: how the stated price relates to material and features
- Merchant discretion: packaging, shipping country and delivery details
What the rating is not
We do not display aggregated star ratings from customer reviews and we do not collect our own user reviews on the site. The rating is not medical or health advice and is not a guarantee of a particular experience, since personal preference varies widely.
When details are missing
If a merchant does not state certain measurements or material details, we note this directly on the relevant product page instead of filling the gap with a guess. Missing details can affect the rating when they would matter for a purchase decision.
Updates
We check prices and availability once a week, automatically. If a manufacturer changes a product substantially, for example the material or construction, we update the affected page once we learn of it.
